Since leaving the Department of Justice, he has represented or served as counsel to many national and local non-profit organizations such Alliance Defense Fund, Family Research Council, and the Renewal Forum. Knowing that Congress gives away billions of dollars a year, Pat Trueman has helped ensure that some of that money goes to support organizations like the Paul and Lisa Program, which helps victims of sexual exploitation. Pats expertise in the appropriations process, as well as his long-standing relationships with members of Congress who have a burden to protect children have helped groups to make positive use of taxpayers dollars. He served as a consultant and law enforcement coordinator to Capital City Partners on its contract from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Rescue and Restore Campaign on Human Trafficking. For that effort, he worked with and trained federal, state, and local law enforcement officers on human trafficking. He work against human trafficking continues with Renewal Forum. During has 33 years as a lawyer, he has litigated cases at all levels of the federal system, including in the United States Supreme Court. He has represented clients before the United States Congress and testified before Congressional committee several times. He has also testified before state legislatures and city councils. Pat has also worked with many municipalities and community leaders providing advice on zoning and licensing ordinances to regulate sexually oriented businesses. Such businesses are rapidly spreading across the country. Strip clubs, porn shops, and even sex trafficking operations are finding homes in unsuspecting cities and towns.
